Flames Win First Game

The Flames defeated Life Pacific University to get their first win of the season. Flames stunned the Warriors as they came out strong with an 8-0 start in the first 5 minutes. Half-way through the 1st half, the Flames were up 20-8. However, the Warriors would pull the game within 2 points with 20 seconds left in the half. The Warriors had the last possession of the half and they made a deep contested 3-pt shot to go 35-36. The 2nd half was back and forth as the lead was changed several times. The Flames would take full control of the game around the 3:20 mark when Igli Pirgu and Josiah Woods hit key 3 pt shots to go up by 8 pts. The last-minute and a half of the game was a fouling game and the Flames sank most of their free-throws to win the contest 86-75.
