ANAHEIM, CAlif. - The Bethesda Women's Basketball team is proud to announce the partnership with the Salvation Army Red Shield Community Center for the 2017-2018 season where the Flames will be hosting their "home games." This year, the Flames' home schedule consists of four games against UC Santa Cruz, Lindenwood (IL), St. Katherine and Ottawa University (AZ).
"We look forward to getting rooted in the community through the community center." Coach Medina said about the partnership. "Having a local facility will allow us to invite local student athletes, teams and families to our games. We take pride in Bethesda Athletics being the only collegiate sports teams in the city of Anaheim and we would love for the community to have pride in us as well!"
The Salvation Army Anaheim Red Shield Community Center is a recreation center that serves the youth, family and senior population of Anaheim. The 55,000 sq. ft. community center located on N. Loara St. and W. North St. serves the local community through a multifaceted program that includes a family services component, pool, gym, group exercise studio, game room, computer lab, kitchen, performing arts theatre and worship chapel, gathering spaces and more. The community center offers tutoring in math, reading and writing; computer education; recreational swim and swim lessons; and sports, including basketball leagues.
