Flames Play Well in D1 Exhibitions

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Flames are back from a pair of NCAA Division 1 against Montana and Idaho State. Showing more cohesiveness on defense, the Flames competed well against their Big Sky opponents. "It was great to see our guys compete against the D1 counterparts. We played better defense these past two games. We still need to work on a couple of things but the improvement is quite noticeable" said head coach Leo Balayon. It is not uncommon for the Flames to play between 6 to 7 D1 games each year. Last season, the Flames managed to upset Cal State Northridge of the Big West conference. "Aside from being a great recruiting tool, our D1 games helps us prepare for conference play, which what it's all about" added Balayon. As the Flames resume their regular season schedule, the future looks bright.
